The system has a deflection element (41) provided at an upper end of a seat (4) of a vehicle. A two-point belt (2) guided through the deflection element runs from a seat upper edge to a lower fastening point arranged on a side (4a) of the seat, where the side is turned towards a vehicle inner side. The element is rotatably supported at the seat from one position to another position. The element is guided to a passenger seated on the seat, when the two-point belt is in one of the positions. The element is guided into a bearing position, when the two-point belt is in the other position.
