<p>Disclosed is a rechargeable battery (101). The rechargeable battery (101) comprises an angular battery can (1), a group of electrodes (G), and first and second insulating auxiliary sheets (4). The angular battery can (1) comprises a positive electrode terminal (8) and a negative electrode terminal (9). The group of electrodes (G) are disposed within the angular battery can (1). In the group of electrodes (G), sheet-shaped positive electrodes (2) electrically connected to the positive electrode terminal (8) and sheet-shaped negative electrodes (3) electrically connected to the negative electrode terminal (9) are stacked on top of each other through a separator. The first and second insulating auxiliary sheets (4) are provided from long sides on a face on which the positive electrode terminal (8) and the negative electrode terminal (9) in the angular battery can (1) are provided so that the group of electrodes (G) are held between the first and second insulating auxiliary sheets (4). The rechargeable battery (101) is characterized by comprising first and second holders (5) that have substantially the same dimensional width as the internal dimension of the angular battery can in the direction of the short side on the above face, are disposed from the short sides so as to hold the group of electrodes (G) therebetween, and the first and second holders (5) being in contact at a plurality of portions with the angular battery can (1) to support the group of electrodes (G).</p> |
