<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which supplies developers of different colors to a developing member while switching them. <P>SOLUTION: When a developing device 34 visualizes an electrostatic latent image with the developers, a developing roll 68 rotates while bearing developer supplied from a developer supply section 80 located in a developer supply position. When the visualization with the developers finishes, the developing device 34 opens an opening/closing member 90 by the rotation (less than 90°) of a rotor 66 under the control exerted by a control section 62. The developer supply section 80 also moves outside the range where the magnetic force of a developer supply magnetic pole of the developing roll 68 acts, thereby stopping the supply of magenta developer from the developer supply section 80 to the developing roll 68. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
