A novel anion exchanger, particularly an anion exchanger having excellent heat resistance, and a method for treating fluid using it are disclosed. The anion exchanger has functional groups represented by chemical formula (I) and the method comprises using said anion exchanger as at least one component of an ion exchanger and/or adsorbent in conducting ion exchange or adsorption of either unnecessary or valuable substances contained in untreated fluid.
