PURPOSE: An emergency descending device for a multistory building is provided, which reduces escape time and controls lowering speed according to the weight. CONSTITUTION: An emergency descending device for a multistory building comprises: an escape rail(100) set up vertically in the wall of a multistory building; a descending device(200) which is installed from a gate of the escape rail and drops vertically victims along the escape rail; and a supporting member(300) which is installed in the descending device and supports victim's legs. The escape rail is equipped with a vertical guide groove in the longitudinal direction. A gate is installed in the vertical guide groove to correspond to each other.
