ADAPTIVE CORRECTION METHOD AND APPARATUS OF MOTION VECTOR

PURPOSE: An adaptive correction method of a motion vector and an apparatus thereof are provided to correct a motion vector by accurately judging an outlier in an edge portion after confirming a predisposition to peripheral motion vectors. CONSTITUTION: If ADc is larger than ADtop, an adaptive motion vector corrector judges a current motion vector(S1) as an outlier candicate(S1), wherein the ADc is the absolute difference between Vm and V1 and the ADtop is the average of the absolute differences between Vm and adjacent 5 motion vectors. An adaptive correction apparatus of a motion vector judges whether or not the current motion vector is judged as a first outlier candidate in sub masks(S2). The apparatus finally determines whether or not the current motion vector is the outlier(S3).
