PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the inclination of a piston by adequately controlling the force of thrusting a side plate when using guide rollers arranged on the outer periphery of the piston for thrusting the side plate of a gas holder to horizontally hold the piston. SOLUTION: The piston 6 of the gas holder has a plurality of sets of guide roller units isolated from one another at predetermined peripheral spaces. The guide roller units each include a pair of upper and lower rollers 12, 13 for thrusting the inner face of the side plate 2 of the gas holder outward. It suppresses the inclination of the piston 6 when the piston 6 is moved up and down in the gas holder 1. A load adjusting mechanism 33 adjusts the loads of the upper and lower rollers 12, 13 thrusting the inner face of the side plate 2 depending on the height directional position of the piston 6 when the piston 6 is moved up and down.
