PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem where it is difficult to change the number of view ranges of directivity display with the conventional technology. SOLUTION: An electrooptical device includes: a liquid crystal which is driven under control for every pixel 7; and a plurality of EL elements 45 configured to emit light to irradiate the liquid crystal, wherein h pieces of (h: an integer of ≥2) mutually different images are assigned to each of h pieces of pixels, for every h pieces of pixels 7, one by one, and a plurality of pixels 7 are divided into a plurality of pixel groups 55 each comprising of one pixel group 55 of j pieces of pixels 7 (j: an integer of ≥2). The EL elements 45 are provided corresponding to the pixel groups 55, and the light emission state where light is emitted and the stop state where the emission is stopped are mutually independently controlled among the EL elements 45.
