PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a communication quality, to considerably simplify wiring operations, and to reduce costs by eliminating rewiring operations, by providing several lines for connecting a controller and a terminal device in a train, automatically detecting the effect of train noise, and further connecting the controller and the terminal device through a line which is less influenced by the train noise. SOLUTION: The train communication system in which the controller 1 and the terminal device 2 in the train are connected through the several lines 11a, 11b and 11c is equipped with: test signal sending parts 16 and 18 which send test signals when the lines are not used; a measurement part 23 which measures noise of the lines by using the test signals; and line switching parts 18, 19, 24 and 27 which switch from the several lines to a line exhibiting a low S/N ratio on the basis of the result of measurement by the measurement part 23.
