Disclosed is a system for allowing a single user to manage and control multiple computers simultaneously. The system comprises a plurality of host computers (112, 114, 116, 118), a user console (102), and a management device (200). The user console includes a keyboard (104), a mouse (108), and a monitor (106). The management device connects the user console to the host computers, and manages the keyboard and mouse signals from the user console. The management device buffers incoming video frames received from the host computers, and allows manipulation of the frames. The management device enables simultaneous display of manipulated video frames of one or more of the host computers on the monitor, enables simultaneous communication of mouse signals to one or more of the host computers, and enables communication of keyboard signals to one of the host computers.
