<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain the display of Karaoke captions by reducing the data amount of caption information. <P>SOLUTION: A caption expressed by a character code on an optical disk is converted into graphic data, and the graphic data is inputted from an input terminal 1 and is written to a graphic buffer 2. In the buffer 2, different pallet numbers are assigned per pixel of a character part of the caption, its outline and the other parts. Graphic data read out from the buffer 2 is subjected to color conversion, on the basis of packet information 3a by a color pallet 3 so as to be displayed as an unread part of the caption on a display screen in accordance with pallet numbers, and the graphic data and is subjected to color conversion, on the basis of packet information 4a by a color pallet 4 so as to be displayed as a read part of the caption on the display screen, according to pallet numbers. A selector 5 selects the output of the color pallet 4 for the inside of a designated region, showing a read part range of the caption from a region designation part 6 and selects the output of the color pallet 3 for outside the designated region. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
