<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, an information processing method, and a program, capable of switching the method of providing state information according to a connection state to a network. <P>SOLUTION: Each of a first controller and a second controller includes a collection means for collecting the state information indicating the state of the controller itself and a management means for registering and managing the state information and providing it according to a request from an external device connected through the network.
