Disclosed is a method for controlling damage to trees caused by harmful insects, said method comprising injecting said trees with a formulation comprising: thiamethoxam, a water miscible solvent selected from lower alcohols and ketones, and a non-ionic surfactant. Reference has been directed, in pursuance of Section 16 of the Patents Act, 1953, to New Zealand patent 549549.
