PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data transfer controller and electronic equipment, for switching an object to be connected to a port. SOLUTION: The data transfer controller has the following two modes: in a first mode, data from a first up/down-stream port circuit 20-1 for an upstream port operation, is transferred to the second up/down-stream port circuit 20-2 for a downstream port operation, via a hub logic circuit 40 and a routing logic circuit 50; in a second mode, data from the second up/down-stream port circuit 20-2 for the upstream port operation is transferred to the first up/down-stream port circuit 20-1 for the downstream port operation, via the hub logic circuit 40 and the routing logic circuit 50.
