PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for filling plate articles into a packaging bag in order and quickly. SOLUTION: The apparatus 1 for filling in the articles includes an accumulation means to accumulate many articles 3 in a piled row shifting each article one by one backward from front, a filling conveyer 21 to make the accumulated articles 3 in a group and project them forward at a predetermined speed, and a holding means 22 to hold the packaging bag 4 in an opened state at the trajectory 50 of the articles 3 projected.
