<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner capable of acquiring two-dimensional thermal image data with a high resolution in a shorter time without increasing the number of light receiving elements of an infrared sensor, and reflecting the data on air conditioning control. <P>SOLUTION: The air conditioner includes: an approximately box-shaped body having a suction port for sucking air in a room and a blowout port for blowing out air-conditioning air; the infrared sensor mounted to the front face of the body at a predetermined depression angle and scanning a temperature detection target range to detect the temperature of a temperature detection target; a drive device for driving the infrared sensor in a predetermined direction; and a control part for detecting the presence of a human body and heat generating equipment by the infrared sensor to control the air conditioner. The control part performs control so that the infrared sensor is shifted by a predetermined amount to any direction by the drive device at a change point of the scanning direction, and then, next scanning is performed when the infrared sensor scans the temperature detection target range and detects the temperature of the temperature detection target. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
