摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inorganic phosphor particles having a specific particle size and a coefficient of variation of particle size, emitting light at a specific wavelength, having excellent emission brightness, an improved life and useful for distributed EL element and the distributed EL element using the same. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The inorganic phosphor particles useful for distributed electroluminescence comprise zinc sulfide, have an average particle size of ≥1 μm and <20 μm, a coefficient of variation of particle size of ≥3% and <40%. The emission maximum of electroluminescence of the phosphor exists between 480-520 nm. Preferably the inorganic phosphor particles contain Cu as an activator in the concentration of 0.10-0.16 mol%/mol.
