PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair capable of surely preventing a fingertip or clothes or the like from getting clamped between an armrest and an armrest support when the armrest is turned, and improving the appearance of an armrest part. SOLUTION: In the chair, the armrest support 29 is raised at the side of a backrest 3 in a base frame 1 supporting a seat 2 and the backrest 3 and an intermediate part armrest 5 is pivoted by a shaft 30 pivoted to the width direction at the upper part of the armrest support 29 turnable between a use position at which it is directed forward and a non-use position at which it is directed upwards. On the lower surface of the intermediate part armrest 5, the upper part of a flexible cover piece 33 covering the front surface of the pivot part of the intermediate part armrest 5 when the intermediate part armrest 5 is switched to the non-use position is fixed.
