摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing foreign substances in a liquid droplet delivering head or the like capable of surely removing the foreign substances mixed in the liquid droplet delivering head or the like. SOLUTION: When foreign substances are removed by suction by connecting a cap closely brought into contact with the liquid droplet delivering head so as to be freely separated and contacted through a suction flow path to perform vacuum suction, and liquid is made to flow through the flow path 37 in the head of the liquid droplet delivering head connected with a liquid tank through a liquid feeding flow path to remove the foreign substances by suction, the method for removing the foreign substances includes: a first liquid flowing process S1 in which the cap is brought into closely contact with the liquid droplet delivering head and is vacuum-sucked to make the liquid flow through the whole flow path at the downstream side of the liquid tank; a temporarily filling process S2 in which the liquid feeding flow path is closed to bring the liquid feeding flow path and the flow path 37 in the head into liquid filled states; a liquid removing process S3 in which the cap is separated and the liquid is removed from the cap and the suction flow path; a negative pressure generating process S4 in which the cap is brought into closely contact with the liquid droplet delivering head again to perform the vacuum suction; and a second liquid flowing process S5 in which, while the vacuum suction is performed, the liquid feeding flow path is opened to make the liquid flow.
