PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation/rectilinear-propagation conversion mechanism capable of easily being lightened, easily absorbing impact force, and decreasing the occupation space when it is not used. SOLUTION: The mechanism comprises an input member 22 and an output member 28 arranged to face to each other and to be able to relatively rotate on a rotation shaft core X, a plurality of input-side connection points arranged on the opposite side of the input member 22 to form apexes of a polygon, and a plurality of output-side connection points arranged on the opposite side of the output member 28 to form apexes of the same polygon. The input-side connection points and the output-side connection points are connected to form a plurality of first load transmission parts 32. Out of two output-side connection points adjacent to an output-side connection point connected to one of the input-side connection points via the first load transmission parts 32, the output-side connection point further from the one input-side connection point is connected to the one input-side connection point to form a plurality of second load transmission parts 33.
