<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper shaping device with a simple configuration and suitable for shaping the end of paper into a predetermined shape. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The paper shaping device, in place of a conventional paper shaping device, includes: a first component having a first member that forms a first plane surrounded by a first outline, and has a first partial outline, being a part of the first outline, which approximately matches with the predetermined shape; a second component having a second member that forms a second plane surrounded by a second outline, and has a second partial outline, being a part of the second outline, if which were viewed from above in a posture that the second plane and the first plane opposed to each other, and the first partial outline came close to the second partial outline, then it would overlap with the second outline; and a connection component allowing the first component and the second component to relatively move so as to come close or move away, while opening a slight gap between the first partial outline and the second partial outline, viewing from above along the direction where the first plane and the second plane oppose to each other.
