Provided is a method for controlling a cooling device including a pump (1) having a pump characteristic defined by the relationship between the rpm and the pressure value and a cooling fan, so that an object to be cooled is cooled by a cooling wind generated by injection of air compressed by the pump (1) and a cooling wind generated by the cooling fan (5). A first parameter is prepared in advance for correlating an altitude with a change radio d of an inclination of pump characteristic at an altitude against an inclination of pump characteristic at another altitude. The rpm of the pump (1) and the rpm of the cooling fan (5) are controlled according to the first parameter and the altitude calculated from the change ratio d obtained by measurement.
