摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating material for thermosensitive recording medium capable of preventing coating defect and defective reading upon thermosensitive recording medium printing by taking attention to bubbles themselves as a direct cause of coating irregularity, and limiting the bubble diameter and the number of the bubbles in the coating material to a specified amount by a specified means, in the coating material for thermosensitive recording medium which is applied on a running web according to a pre-metering type coating method. <P>SOLUTION: In the coating material for thermosensitive recording medium for the pre-metering type coating method in which the pre-metered coating material is applied on the continuously running web, the applied coating material for thermosensitive recording medium is extended in a thin film shape on a wall surface in a coating material container to facilitate the boiling-out of bubbles and, by using a vacuum thin film method in which the bubbles are destructed by a pressure of gas incorporated in the bubbles, the relation between bubble diameter and bubble number in 50 g of the coating material for thermosensitive recording medium is set as follow: the number of the bubbles having a bubble diameter of &phiv;1 mm or more is zero and the number of the bubbles having a bubble diameter less than &phiv;1 mm is 30 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
