<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator which has superior shut-down functionality and heat resistance and well follows an electrode's volume change even if an electrode showing a large volume change rate at charge/discharge is used. <P>SOLUTION: The separator for a nonaqueous secondary battery includes a polyolefin porous basic substance and a heat-resistant porous layer coating one or both of surfaces of the porous basic substance and containing a heat-resistant resin. The separator satisfies L1-L2=2.0 to 10 μm where L1 denotes a film thickness measured under an applied load of 36 g/cm<SP>2</SP>and L2 denotes a film thickness measured under an applied load of 1.2 kg/cm<SP>2</SP>in measurement using a contact-type film thickness gauge having a circular contact terminal with a contact bottom face of 0.5 cm in diameter. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
