<p>A communication method and apparatus are provided which can achieve the compatibility between the improvement of encryption strength using the updating of an encryption key and the avoidance of network congestions. A communication method for use in a communication system where data encrypted by one (10, 30) of a plurality of communication apparatuses is transmitted to another one (20, 40) thereof comprises: a step in which the one communication apparatus uses a secrecy degree detecting unit (101) to detect the secrecy degree of the data; and a step in which one of the one communication apparatus and the other communication apparatus uses a redistribution time timer unit to change, in accordance with the secrecy degree, the time intervals at which an encryption key used for communicating the data is updated.</p> |
