PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet storage part capable of favorably guiding the front end of a sheet to an abutting surface, and improving sheet stacking performance. SOLUTION: This sheet storage device storing the sheet S discharged by a discharging means includes a receiving member 12 receiving the discharged sheet S, a first abutting surface locking the front end of the sheet S supported by the receiving member 12, a second abutting surface 19 movable between a lock position locking the front end of the sheet S supported by the receiving member 12 and a retreat position not locking it between the discharging means and the first abutting surface, and a guide surface 18 guiding the front end of the sheet S to the second abutting surface 19 by guiding the surface of the discharged sheet S on the side facing the receiving member 12 when the second abutting surface is located at the lock position.
