PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase power recovered by an expansion device, in a refrigerating device including the expansion device for generating power by expanding a refrigerant. SOLUTION: In the refrigerating device (10) including a refrigerant circuit (11) to which the expansion device (31) capable of controlling the rotating speed independently of the rotating speed of a compressor (21) is connected, a controller (40) for controlling the rotating speed of the expansion device (31) so that the rotating speed increases as a circulation amount of a refrigerant in the refrigerant circuit (11) increases is provided. The controller (40) controls the rotating speed of the expansion device (31) so as not to exceed peak rotating speed maximizing recovery power recovered by the expansion device (31).
