摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of estimating use environment of a friction body capable of accurately estimating use environment (existence of a fade phenomenon in the friction body) with simple structure. SOLUTION: Use environment of a friction body 20 to be brought into contact with a rotor 10 rotating with a wheel and to be separated therefrom (existence of a fade phenomenon in the friction body 20) is estimated after using the friction body 20. The friction body 20 includes: a friction member 30 to be brought into contact with the rotor 10 and to be separated therefrom; a back plate 40 supporting the friction member 30; and a temperature display member 50 arranged in the back plate 40 and to be irreversibly changed in color thereof in response to the temperature. A plurality of temperature display members 50 are arranged, and respectively formed from a material different in the color changing temperature.
