The element (10) has a carrier (20) with a strip-like insert, where the carrier is partially encased with fiber-reinforced plastic. The insert is split into two strips that are spaced apart from each other to form a gap. A deformation element (30) is fastened to the carrier by a fastening unit e.g. screw, which is led through the gap. A plastic forming unit (23) is arranged such that the plastic forming unit restrains and/or inhibits relative motion between the fastening unit or the deformation element and the insert. The insert is made of ultrahigh-firm steel sheet.
