A chimney pot hanger 1 is provided for supporting a flue liner 2 from the top of a chimney pot 4. It includes a rain cap 10 and a spacing means 8 for, in use, spacing at least a portion of the rain cap above the chimney pot such that air flow is permitted between the rain cap and the top of the chimney pot. In a further aspect, a method for ventilating a chimney stack space is disclosed, where the chimney pot hanger is installed such that the spacing means spaces the rain cap above the top or rim of the chimney pot so that a passage for ventilation of the chimney stack space is defined between the rain cap and the top of the chimney pot. |
