PURPOSE: A power supplying unit for a light emitting diode(LED) display apparatus and a method for supplying power of the same are provided to minimize the volume of the apparatus by utilizing the inner space of a case. CONSTITUTION: The upper side of a box type case is open. A plurality of LEDs is arranged with a pre-set interval in the transversal direction of the front side of an LED module. A plurality of driving elements is installed on the rear side of the LED module. A substrate for distributing data distributes inputted data to the driving elements of the LED module. A power supply unit(50), which is composed of a plurality of power supply modules(50a to 50f), is installed in a case.
