<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct threshold variation of a transistor built in a pixel circuit through circuit operation. <P>SOLUTION: A sampling transistor Tr1 samples a signal Vsig from a signal line DL when selected through a scanning line WS and holds it in a hold capacitor C1. A drive transistor Tr2 is energized to a load element EL according to the signal potential held by the hold capacitor C1. A switching transistor Tr3 switches ON and OFF for the electricity supply in response to a gate pulse DS. A 1st threshold voltage correcting circuit 7 detects the threshold voltage of the drive transistor Tr2, adds it to the signal potential, and feeds the resulting voltage back to a gate G to cancel variation in threshold voltage. A 2nd threshold voltage correcting circuit 8 corrects variation in threshold voltage of the switching transistor Tr3 by using the detected threshold voltage of the drive transistor Tr2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
