PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for setting an internet protocol communication network in a mobile communication terminal are provided to enhance the security of IP communication and simplify the network setting for the IP communication in a mobile communication terminal which supports the IP communication. CONSTITUTION: A first mobile communication terminal(10) determines a second mobile communication terminal(20) which is supposed to communication with the first mobile communication terminal. The first mobile communication terminal creates the network setting information thereof for IP communication, and performs network setting by using the network setting information. The first mobile communication terminal generates a network setting message including the network setting information for the second mobile communication terminal.
