<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network connection device for preventing fluctuation of shift in a link state in notifying another device that a link fault occurs when network connections device are connected in a multiple stage: and to provide a network using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The network connection device includes: a link fault detecting section 4 for detecting that a link fault occurs in a port; a link fault notification signal transmitting section 5 for controlling so as to transmit a link fault notification signal; a link fault notification signal detecting section 6 for detecting that the link fault notification signal is received; a setting contents storing section 15 for storing the details as to whether the link fault notification signal should be relayed or not when receiving the link fault notification signal; a link fault notification signal relay control section 7 for controlling as to whether the link fault notification signal should be relayed or not based on the set details when receiving the link fault notification signal; and a link-down control section 8 for forcibly linking down the port. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
