<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air treatment apparatus capable of retaining deodorizing performance stably for a long period without the formation of an exhaust duct connecting the air treatment apparatus with the outdoor. <P>SOLUTION: The air treatment apparatus 100 includes a body of the air treatment apparatus 100 body having an air suction inlet 1 and an air outlet 5, a blower 3 sucking, from the suction inlet 1, polluted air 104 involving an odor produced by operation of an electric heater 103a arranged within the body and accompanied with no combustion and a deodorizing means, or a deodorizing device 4, for deodorizing at least the odor in the polluted air 104 sucked from the suction inlet 1. The deodorizing means includes at least a deodorant adsorbing the odor for oxidative decomposition and a heater, or a PTC heater element 12, heating the deodorant for activation so as for the air treatment apparatus 100 to retain the deodorizing performance stably for a long period without restriction on the layout of the arrangement of the air treatment apparatus 100 or maintenance of the deodorizing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
