PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secondary battery which facilitates fastening of a cap plate and electrode terminal, and has an excellent insulation property, and a tightly sealed structure. SOLUTION: The secondary battery includes: a case for incorporating an electrode group therein; the cap plate joined to an opening of the case to seal; a first insulator joined to an outer surface of the cap plate; the electrode terminal, which is joined to a first terminal hole and second terminal hole respectively formed on the cap plate and the first insulator, and is electrically connected to the electrode group; a first joint part which is formed between the cap plate and first insulator, decenters to one side with respect to a center of the first terminal hole and the second terminal hole, and joins the cap plate and first insulator; a second joint part formed between the first insulator and electrode terminal, decenters to one side with respect to a center line of the electrode terminal in a length direction, and joins the first insulator and electrode terminal.
