摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an observation window which can reduce a total cost by achieving a structural simplification of the observation window, which can be rapidly and simply assembled on a construction site, and which can surely prevent fall of a glass plate caused by the loss of a window frame. SOLUTION: This observation window includes the glass plate 5 with an outer shape larger than an outer shape of a window opening 3, and the window frame 6 for holding the glass plate 5. The window frame 6 includes a window frame body 10 which is made of a rubber molded article, a reinforcing frame 11 which is insert-fixed to the window frame body 10, and a bolt 12. A mounting groove 15 for sandwiching a peripheral edge of the glass plate 5 between the inside and the outside is circumferentially formed in a recessed shape on the inner peripheral surface of the frame of the window frame body 10. The peripheral edge of the glass plate 5 is fixed by being sandwiched between the inside and the outside by a peripheral edge wall of the window opening 3 and the reinforcing frame 11 via inside and outside sandwiching walls 16 and 17, while the window frame 6 and the glass plate 5 are fastened to the peripheral edge wall of the window opening 3.
