<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing system capable of making compatible convenience and energy saving. <P>SOLUTION: The image processing system comprises at least: a first image processing apparatus (printer PR1) for performing image processing; a second image processing apparatus (scanner SC1) connected with the first image processing apparatus for performing image processing; an inquiry means (interrogator 400) for inquiring whether a device to be a communication target can be powered off from the first image processing apparatus or the second image processing apparatus via a communication means; a response means (transponder 301) for making a response to the inquiry; and a power-off control means (controller 212) for controlling, if a result of the inquiry by the inquiry means indicates that power-off can be performed, to power off the device that becomes a power-off target based on a powering-off instruction (shut-down command SD). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
