PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for the ink reservoir of an inkjet printer head, capable of laser processing the ink reservoir on a substrate, without generating a crack. SOLUTION: The processing method for the ink reservoir of the inkjet printer head includes: an alteration layer forming process for positioning the focusing point of a laser beam of a wavelength having permeability with respect to the substrate to the inside of the substrate and irradiating the contour of the ink reservoir to be formed with the laser beam, to form an alteration layer along the contour of the ink reservoir to be formed inside the substrate; and a hollow forming process for irradiating the inside of the contour with a laser beam of a wavelength having absorbency with respect to the substrate, to form a hollow for the ink reservoir by ablation processing, after the alteration layer forming process is executed.
