PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery which is excellent in electrolyte resistance, liquid leakage resistance, and water resistance. SOLUTION: In the battery wherein a power generation element is stored in an outer package and a tab respectively connected with a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate in the power generation element is held by the outer package while the tab is exposed outside the outer package and a peripheral edge of the outer package is sealed, a coated layer including an acid modified polyolefin resin containing a (meth)acrylic acid ester component is prepared at a held section of each tab. Especially, the outer package is formed by a laminated body wherein a base material layer, a barrier layer, an anchor layer including the acid modified polyolefin resin containing the (meth)acrylic acid ester component, and a sealant layer are laminated in this order.
