<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical ligation instrument allowing operation for binding a lesion part tight with a ligation member and operation for cutting the ligation member to be performed by a series of operation. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The medical ligation instrument has a receiving member 22 serving as a ligation instrument body including a ligation wire 18 used as the flexible ligation member for ligating biological tissue, and a ligation member cutting edge 16 having a first position in the radial direction of the receiving member 22, a second position radially spaced from the first position, and a shift part for connecting the first and second positions in the ligation wire 18 and movable relative to the ligation wire 18.
