<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a purified Jatropha oil wherein a phorbol ester content is removed and reduced and which has a low acid value. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the purified Jatropha oil includes a mixture liquid preparing step for preparing a mixture liquid formed by mixing a Jatropha oil and an alkali aqueous solution containing an alkali compound of 1.0 equivalent or more to the acid value of the Jatropha oil, a deacidification step for stirring the mixture liquid and removing a fatty acid from the Jatropha oil and a separating step for separating the deacidified Jatropha oil from the mixture liquid.
