<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lapping method and a lapping device, capable of reducing a machining time. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the lapping method, a tooth face 6 of a lapped gear 2 is polished by rotating the lapped gear 2 and a lapping gear 3 which meshes with the lapped gear 2 while meshing them together, with a lapping material containing abrasive grains interposed.
