摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of simply and conveniently manufacturing optical waveguide patterns which have a mechanism for transforming an optical signal by 90°from a substrate surface to a vertical direction at a desired position on a large area substrate, while reducing the number of the optical waveguide patterns. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the optical waveguide includes at least: a step in which a light direction conversion component 5a which transforms the light direction by approximately 90°is installed on a groove-shaped pattern 3; a step in which the groove-shaped patter 3 is filled with a core material 6; a step in which a core is formed by curing the core material 6; and a step in which the light direction conversion component 5a and the core are transcribed onto the cladding material 7a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p>
