<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a pigment dispersion for manufacturing an electrophotographic photoreceptor, which has high dispersibility and secular stability and is superior in coatability, and to provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor, which has high sensitivity and is superior in repeat characteristic, by using the dispersion. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A pigment for a charge generating material is dispersed in an organic solvent wherein at least one kind of a binder is dissolved to prepare a dispersion having a small difference between θa and θr wherein θa and θr are an advancing contact angle and a receding contact angle to a hanging plate respectively which are measured by a Wilhelmy method.
