DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CELL OBSERVATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and method for cell observation which enables clear observation of cells with time in the presence of a chemical liquid and accurate evaluation of interaction or the like between the cell and the chemical liquid. SOLUTION: The device includes a cell culture chamber CS and a chemical liquid chamber RS placed adjacent to the culture chamber interposing a semipermeable membrane 10, a cell-containing liquid introducing path CI and a cell-containing liquid discharging path CE to introduce and discharge the cell-containing liquid C to the cell culture chamber CS, a chemical liquid introducing path RI and a chemical liquid discharging path RE to introduce and discharge the chemical liquid R essentially free from the cell to the chemical liquid chamber RS, and an observation window W formed on the chemical liquid chamber RS at a side opposite to the semipermeable membrane 10.
