PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine generator accommodated with a power accumulation device which is practical, compact in size, and has an uninterruptible function. SOLUTION: In the engine generator 1 accommodating an engine E and a generator G in an equipment chamber 3, exhaust mufflers 37, 37 of the engine E are accommodated in the equipment chamber 3, one side surface of the equipment chamber 3 is covered with an intake hood 4, the other side surface is covered with an exhaust hood 5, an exhaust pipe 38 downstream of the exhaust muffler 37 is provided to pass through the exhaust hood 5 and the other-side surface of the equipment chamber 3 covered with the exhaust hood 5, the power accumulation device 10 having the uninterruptible function is accommodated in a power accumulation chamber 2 composed of a casing independent from the equipment chamber 3, and the power accumulation chamber 2 is installed on an upper surface of the equipment chamber 3.
