<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm device capable of setting reception sensitivity according to the installation environment. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The alarm device 10 includes: a fire detecting circuit 7 as a state detecting section, and a control circuit 1 for determining a state based on an output signal of the fire detecting circuit 7 and outputting an alarm based on the determination result. The alarm device 10 further includes: a transmission/reception circuit 5 for transmitting a wireless signal to other alarm devices, performing reception sampling at a prescribed cycle, and receiving a wireless signal from the other alarm devices; an electric field intensity measuring section 53 for measuring an electric field intensity of the wireless signal received by the transmission/reception circuit 5 from the other alarm devices; and a reception sensitivity switching section 12 for switching the reception sensitivity of the transmission/reception circuit 5. The reception sensitivity switching section 12 switches the current reception sensitivity to the predetermined reception sensitivity according to the electric field intensity measured by the electric field intensity measuring section 53.
