PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper feeder capable of correcting oblique advancement of paper and also correcting a position of a side end along a conveying direction of the paper. SOLUTION: Positioning members 40, 41 for fixing a tray insertion position are fixed to a structure body 42. A tray 7 receives pressing force from the structure body 42 to an operator side by an urging means such as a spring, and a lock part of the tray 7 is abutted on the right and left positioning members 40, 41 for fixing the paper feeding tray insertion position, thereby, the insertion position (setting position of paper P) of the tray is fixed. A fixing hole of the positioning members 40, 41 is made to a long hole, and a user can adjust it. When it is detected that the paper is obliquely set in the tray 7, oblique advancement of the paper P is improved by moving a fixed position of the positioning member 40 to an opposite operator side.
