PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective tube for a water/hot-water supply pipe prevented in the generation of noise between an inner pipe and the protective tube even if the temperature of water flowing in an inner pipe of the water/hot-water supply pipe is abruptly changed, and to provide the water/hot-water supply pipe using with the protective pipe.

SOLUTION: The protective tube for the water/hot-water supply pipe provided at the outer peripheral surface of the inner pipe for water supply is formed of a tube body including a recessed and projecting cross section formed of recessed parts projecting toward an inner pipe side and projecting parts continued to the recessed parts and projecting to the outside. The recessed parts include contact recessed parts brought into contact with the inner pipe and non-contact recessed parts not brought into contact with the inner pipe.
